Experience the history of plasters and leave the class knowing why to choose a modified lime verses an unmodified, or polished instead of a matt plaster. Learning proper angle and pressure, with the applications are two very important components when applying Authentic Italian plasters from Italy. Italian plaster decoration is a skilled trade. It will take time a practice to perfect your technique.

You will learn about a wide variety of Bell’Arte products including smooth, polished Venetian plasters, 100% lime plasters, resin plasters, and textured finishes.

The Venetian plasters used in class are Veneziano White- Veneziano Neutral,-Bella Calce- Bella Calce Design- Precious Veneziano Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Copper-Marmorino- Stucco Dei Gonzaga- Calce A Pennello. Multiple finishes with many different techniques of application.

Class Schedule:

Day 1: Working with Bell’Arte line of Bonding Agents/ Primers and Isolated undercoats.

Day 2: Primers, Texture coats, Marketing and pricing.

Day 3: Finish coats, pricing and estimating jobs. Color system.

Day 4: Appling finish coats. Marketing, presentation,

Day 5: Top coats on final boards and waxing.
