"Grace Designs Dallas" Gracie Reed
While pursuing a college degree in Ornamental Horticulture, I taught for Universal Cheerleading Association. After moving to Dallas, I was chosen to be a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader. For many years afterward, I was employed [and sill employed] by a major airline as a flight attendant. Gardening and cooking gourmet meals for friends were the only outlets for my creative yearnings. Then in 2000, I stepped out of my comfort zone by taking my first plastering course. I WAS HOOKED! After refinishing my entire house, I still needed more. In the next few years, I completed 12 courses from various companies and studios.
During one of my classes, a fellow applicator told me about Safra. She had taken a course in Atlanta and raved about how fabulous it was. I signed up for the first class two months before Safra had opened their studio in the DFW area. It was everything she had promised and MORE! This was the first course that introduced me to the capacities and authenticities of true Italian plasters. Safra was exactly what I was searching for. I love everything about it- troweling it, the smell of lime, watching it change in color and texture as it cures. There is always a desire to touch it, to feel its beauty!
When a client chooses Safra for a room, it becomes their favorite area of their home. This naturally happens, because these plasters are timeless and appeal to all the senses. Thank you Safra, for providing such fabulous plasters that inspire me to be even more passionate about creating beauty for my clients!
