“Every Home Deserves a Room, that Quietly Whispers... Wow!” I wrote this quote many years ago. It now has become our mantra on every project. Since 2005, after attending the School of Italian Plaster, Mark is one of the few in the States to be certified in the application of Safra Italian Venetian Plaster and the dramatic Italian Finishes imported from Verona, Italy. Together with son David, who is co-owner, Bella Faux Finishes shares their Art in the Midwest.

The Number One mistake when trying to create “The Wow Effect” is to believe you need a large budget. Not true! In many instances, for the cost of a quality chair, you can create a Wow. The key is to identify where your opportunities are, then introduce new texture and color on a concept board. This is the most challenging part of the process. Here is where many people will surrender and quit too soon, because of the difficulty of understanding the principles of layering Color, Texture and Effect.
